Job summary

Lehigh Valley Companion Care Homes seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide care in our homes in Coplay, PA. This part-time role covers evening shifts, with emphasis on personal care, independence, and a nurturing environment.

The DSP will assist with daily activities, document accurately, and support health monitoring while engaging residents in stimulating community activities. Training is provided, and scheduling can adjust after three weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Direct care experience is welcome but not required; training is provided.
• Compassion, patience and respectful approach to care are essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are important.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must have physical stamina to assist with transfers and care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Administer medications and document as scheduled.

• Observe health conditions and report concerns to supervisors.
• Implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies.
