Rise Family in Maricopa County, AZ is hiring Parent(s) as Paid Caregiver Direct Support Professionals in our HBCS program to provide direct support to people and/or their families, and as needed in their own homes through the implementation of the RISE Mission, Vision and Values and in compliance with all regulations and policies related to Home and Community Based Services programs.

Qualifications

• Experience and education in developmental disabilities or a related field preferred; a requirement for habilitation.
• Desire and interest in working with people with disabilities or special needs.
• Verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be over twenty‑one (21) years old if required to drive a RISE vehicle and meet other requirements specified by the RISE Insurance Agency.
• Satisfactory background check and Level One Fingerprint Card clearance.
• Proficiency in other languages (other than English) may be required.
• Reliable transportation to the work site and access to a telephone.
• Completion of training courses in CPR, First Aid, and Article 9.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to people receiving support through the implementation of the RISE mission, vision, and values.
• Demonstrate respect and promote choice.
• Promote the rights of people receiving support and contribute to an environment that is free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Assist people with daily living, hygiene, intimate care, meal planning/prep/cleanup, mobility, relationships, community access, and transportation.
• Support Attendant Care, Habilitation, Respite, and Companionship services.
• Act as a role model and maintain appropriate language, dress, manners, and behavior.
• Maintain clean and safe environments and respond to emergencies per protocols.
• Follow RISE policies, attend trainings, and report to work as scheduled.
