Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on weekends. You will help with daily activities, meals, and personal care while promoting dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Responsibilities

• Support with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care.
• Assist in meal preparation and maintaining a clean kitchen.
• Be patient and respectful in action and speech.
• Advocate for each person’s rights and help build confidence and self-esteem.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care.

PAY RANGE: $19.50 - $20 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

JOB SUMMARY:

At Gallagher Services - a Catholic Charities program, we believe that every person deserves a life filled with meaning, independence, and relationships that matter. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

The work schedule is: Saturday and Sunday 3 PM - 11 PM

• Listening to music

• Going out to eat

• Goingshopping

• Goingbowling

• Watchingfamily feud and Dr. Phil

• Visiting the library

HowYou’llSupport:
