Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Elk Grove, CA program. The DSPs will support individuals with developmental disabilities in community and home settings, implementing behavior plans and facilitating personal care and communication skills.

Pay ranges from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour with PRN shifts. Certification requirements include RBT, LPT, or QBMP, or becoming RBT within 12 months.

Pay:
$24.00-$26.00 per hour

Earnup to $26/hr once you have received your RBT – Registered Behavioral Technician certification.

OurDirect Support Professionals(DSPs) interact and support our individuals with development disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings, as well as Adult Training Facilities. The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans. Requirements

Education/License/Certification(s):

Must have a verifiable High School Diploma/G.E.D.

Must have a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (QBMP) credential, or become an RBT within twelve months of initial employment.

DSP 1 and DSP 2 Certification – Required within 12 months of hire.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification – Required within 12 months of hire, unless exempt.

Must have at least 6 months of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (Please list other job requirements)

Must be at least 18 years old.

A valid driver's license is required.

Ability to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language.

Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.

Ability to model, teach, and encourage socially acceptable behaviors as needed.

Completes PPD testing and physical examination upon hire and at least every 2 years thereafter, if required.

Dual diagnosis experience is a plus.

Training and Support:

Merakey will provide access to the necessary training and support to help employees meet the certification requirements. Required certifications must be completed within 12 months of hire, as applicable.
