Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for our program in Antioch, CA. DSPs provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, supporting health, safety, dignity, and personal growth in community and home settings.

Schedules are PRN only with pay of $26.00–$28.00/hr, increasing after earning the RBT certification. We offer benefits like DailyPay, retirement options, EAP, wellness resources, and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver\'s license required.
• At least six months of direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on behavioral services.
• Must complete DSP 1 and DSP 2 within 1 year of hire; RBT within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
• Assist with implementation of behavior plans and training in personal, communication, and social skills.
• Support individuals in community, family, or home environments and in Adult Training Facilities.

Job description

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) interact and support our individuals with development disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings, as well as Adult Training Facilities. The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans. We provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity and contentment of every consumer served by assisting and training individuals in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development.
