Indera seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide community habilitation services in the Minoa, NY area for a creative 9-year-old boy. DSP must be dependable, compassionate, and attentive to his needs. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and reliable transportation with a valid driver's license.

Experience with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide community habilitation services for a 9-year-old boy in Minoa, NY.
• Assist with activities, reading, crafts, and library visits.
• Support communication using an iPad and adaptive devices.
• Assist with daily living and safety, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

DSP must be dependable, compassionate, attentive to this his needs. Staff must enjoy interacting with children with disabilities and be proactive in helping him. Staff will be required to be able to lift at least 50 pounds. He enjoys music, dinosaurs, reading books, learning materials, making crafts, going for walks, going to the library and utilizing an i-Pad to communicate.Prior experience is a plus but not necessary. Reliable transportation, driver's license, and a high school diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the agency.Hiring 2-3days a week from 2:30-6:00pm.
