Job summary

Passavant Memorial Homes is seeking responsible, caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Latrobe to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. DSPs assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community integration in a supervised setting.

The role requires 18+ years old, a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and at least 6 months' relevant experience. Open interviews and competitive benefits are offered by PMH.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience with individuals with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care, such as bathing, shaving, dressing, oral hygiene, etc.
• Provide a safe, healthy and clean living environment.
• Perform needed housekeeping duties.
• Provide assistance with tasks of daily living such as shopping, care of personal possessions, telephone use, and social/leisure activities.
• Observe for behavioral and physical changes in condition, and report as appropriate.
• Offer input into the development of the Treatment Plan.
• Maintain various records pertaining to individuals, following established documentation methods.
