Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bethlehem, PA. The role offers full-time hours with a base pay of $18.00 per hour and DailyPay available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer and internet proficiency, including email, timekeeping systems, and electronic documentation platforms.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to successfully complete all required employment screenings and clearances, including FBI clearance where applicable.
• Preferred: related degree in human services or social sciences, prior residential mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support in accordance with each individual's ISP and person-centered plan.
• Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and desired outcomes.
• Administer medications according to established policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, community activities, and other necessary destinations.
• Support individuals with activities of daily living: meal preparation, personal hygiene, toileting, and household tasks.
• Assist individuals with accessing community resources and supports (medical appointments, social services, recreational opportunities, programs).
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and positive social interactions.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to implement support strategies and residential interventions.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, person-centered living environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
