Job summary

New Purpose is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives in their homes and communities.

You will assist with daily living, personal care, community activities, life skills, documentation, and support plans, while promoting safety, dignity, and choice.

Part-time positions include paid training, certifications, ongoing development, and opportunities to transition to full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass required background screenings and training requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with mobility needs as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Support personal goals, independence, and life skill development.
• Encourage participation in community activities.
• Complete daily documentation and follow support plans.
• Protect the rights, dignity, and well-being of those served while following agency policies.
