Job summary

I.M.P.A.C.T. is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental, behavioral, and physical disabilities in residential and community settings.

You will help clients live safely, independently, and with dignity, while following individualized service plans and maintaining documentation. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and encouraging participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient demeanor essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and able to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and support staff.
• Calm, professional, and respectful in challenging situations.
• Strong observation and accurate documentation skills.
• Willingness to work with individuals with developmental or mental health needs.
• Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or human services is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals receiving services.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, hygiene, meals, and routines.
• Support development of daily living and independence skills.
• Encourage community participation and social activities.
• Assist with goals identified in individual service plans.
• Promote independence, privacy, and self-determination.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment and report changes.
• Complete required records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow service plans, policies, and regulations.
