Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. in Aliquippa, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care for residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt full-time position with 32 hours per week.

We offer a sign-on bonus of $2,000 and comprehensive benefits. Two weeks of paid training will be provided to educate new hires on daily living skills and support plans. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable means of transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents with care needs.
• Record observations and daily progress notes.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping and personal hygiene.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Participate in planning social, home and recreational activities.
• Medication administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
