Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence.

You will provide hands-on support, assist with personal care, follow individualized care plans, document progress, and encourage community engagement. Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Disability services experience is a plus but not required—training provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history (see posting)

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Travel between Residential and Day programs as needed.
