Beta Care Services CT in Manchester, CT is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct support to adults with IDD in their homes and communities. You will help promote independence, skill development, and community inclusion while working as part of a dedicated team.

Schedule includes Monday 2-9, Tue-Fri 11-6, Sat 10-3, with 40 hours per week; you will assist with daily living, transportation, and safety, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • CPR/FIRST AID Certification
  • Ability to pass required background screenings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting individuals with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Supporting participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events.
  • Providing transportation to medical appointments, vocational programs, and community activities.
  • Assisting with meal preparation, household chores, and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Implementing individualized service plans and supporting personal goals.
  • Providing supervision and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
  • Completing required documentation, daily notes, and electronic records accurately and timely.
  • Observing and reporting changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral health.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies and applying CPR/First Aid procedures when necessary.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA, DDS, and agency policies and procedures.
