Job summary

Arbor Associates in Hatfield, MA is looking for a Direct Support Professional to work outdoors on a farm program with adult clients. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, involving plants, animals, and community-based activities.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside adult clients outdoors for the full shift, assisting them with farm‑based tasks involving plants and animals
• Support and supervise clients in the care of farm animals, including chickens, geese, goats, and a small horse
• Assist clients with horticultural and farm work activities throughout the shift
• Implement behavioral support strategies in a calm, consistent manner — clients may exhibit some behaviors but are not violent
• Assist with personal hygiene and ADLs on an as‑needed basis
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment throughout the day
• Complete documentation accurately, including daily notes and progress records
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Follow all program policies, safety protocols, and individualized support plans
