Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is hiring compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental disabilities throughout Warren, New Jersey. Our DSPs work one-to-one with individuals in homes and community settings, helping them build independence, confidence, relationships, and a fulfilling daily life.

You will provide person-centered support, assist with daily routines, participate in meaningful activities, and document care accurately.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, dependable, and comfortable working one-to-one with an adult with developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow individualized instructions.
• Ability to complete required documentation and use mobile/online systems for scheduling and service records.
• Ability to complete all required background checks, onboarding requirements, and state/agency-required training.
• Reliable transportation and valid driving credentials when required for a specific assignment.
• DSP, caregiving, behavioral health, education, human services, CNA, HHA, or related experience is helpful, but not required for every opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful one-to-one support at home and in the community.
• Help individuals participate in meaningful activities, hobbies, errands, appointments, recreation, and social opportunities.
• Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, safety, and independence skills.
• Encourage individual choice, self-advocacy, community inclusion, and healthy relationships.
• Assist with routines and activities of daily living when required by the individual’s plan and the specific assignment.
• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, safety, and support instructions within DSP scope and training.
• Maintain the individual’s health and safety and promptly report concerns through the appropriate chain.
• Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.
• Clock in and out as required and maintain dependable attendance and communication.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, dignity, and respect at all times.
