Job summary

Devereux is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide safe, supportive care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in multiple locations across the region. The role includes assisting with hygiene, daily routines, and community activities, while upholding Devereux's mission and policies.

You will participate in training, work a full-time or part-time schedule (days, evenings, overnights, weekends), and contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, or related field required.
• One year human service experience with children, adolescents, or adults preferred; valid driver's license.
• Empathetic, team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to complete orientation and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, supportive care to residents; assist with hygiene and daily routines.
• Support community outings and activities; ensure residents' physical and emotional needs are met.
• Attend training sessions and complete assignments as directed by the coordinator.
• Maintain professionalism and positive role-model behavior in all interactions.
