Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work directly with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll help with daily living tasks, transportation, and community activities, promoting independence and person-centered supports.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and ADLs.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, budgeting, shopping, appointments, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Promote independence and person-centered supports.
• Support ISPs and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
