Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to deliver compassionate, in-home care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily personal care, monitor health needs, and support independence in a home-like setting.

This role involves documenting activities, cooperating with a care circle, and transporting clients to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Pass a background check.
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or provide HS diploma/transcript or GED and at least 6 months of experience with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care tasks including hygiene, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
• Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their support circle.
• Encourage self-help activities.
• Implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans.
• Manage behaviors through prevention or de‑escalation of aggression.
• Keep accurate daily documentation (activities, drills, medications, goals, data).
• Transport clients to and from community activities and medical appointments.
• Run errands for clients as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

All Ways Caring HomeCare is looking for someone like you to join our team! As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients in the comfort of their homes.

• Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
• Encouraging self-help activities

• Manage Individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
• Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/ disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, as well as other documentation.

• Transporting clients or running errands for clients
• Other duties as assigned.

• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma; and at least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities
