Supports is seeking compassionate direct care staff to assist an individual in home and community settings. You will help build daily living skills, provide gentle reminders, and support participation in preferred activities.
Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass background checks, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and can work weekends or fill-in shifts. Training and team support provided to ensure safety.
The individual values close relationships with family and trusted supports and enjoys staying active in the community. Interests include sports (including Special Olympics activities), listening to music, being physically active, and spending time with animals, with a strong interest in having an emotional support animal.
The individual does best in a calm, supportive environment that encourages independence, emotional regulation, and consistency. Staff should be patient, engaging in conversation, and able to provide gentle structure and reminders when needed without being overly directive. Support should focus on building daily living skills and encouraging participation in preferred activities and community involvement.
