Job summary

RISE in Tucson, AZ is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our Home and Community Based Services program who are passionate about helping individuals with disabilities. You will assist with daily in-home tasks and community outings, providing respectful, person-centered support.

Responsibilities include behavioral support, coordinating transportation when needed, and supporting clients to maintain independence. Flexible part-time shifts, competitive pay, and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have desire to work with people with disabilities and respect for cultural differences.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be able to pass background check with Arizona Central Registry, Arizona Adult Protective Services and obtain Level One Fingerprint Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily in-home tasks and accompanying them on community outings.
• Provide behavioral support as needed to individuals.
• If applicable, transport clients and ensure safety, including use of a personal vehicle with proper insurance.

RISE provides services for people with disabilities including residential settings, day programs, employment assistance, managed care, and hourly supports.

We are seeking Direct Support Professionals in our HBCS (Home and Community Based Services) program who are passionate about working with individuals with disabilities. This includes but not limited to: providing assistance to individuals living on their own by taking them out into the community, assisting with daily in-home tasks, and providing behavioral support. Direct Support Professional hourly rates range from $15.50-18.00

Qualifications

• Must have a desire and interest in working with people with disabilities or special needs and demonstrate a knowledge of and respect for cultural differences
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job
• Must have the ability to successfully pass background check with Arizona Central Registry, Arizona Adult Protective Services and obtain Level One Fingerprint Clearance
• Specific language abilities (other than English) may be required
• Reliable transportation to the work site and for transporting people, if applicable
• Access to a telephone
• Must be able to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned
• Must be 21+ if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle; to qualify must pass drug test, maintain a valid driver’s license, and submit acceptable driving record
• If personal vehicle is used for transporting people must provide current auto insurance that meet minimum requirements of RISE insurance policies
