Job summary

Achieva is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Pittsburgh to promote the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will support daily living activities, community engagement, and personal development while advocating for individual choice and dignity.

This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a sign-on bonus. You will work with a supportive team in a mission-driven environment, helping people live meaningful lives.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required - we provide all the training you'll need!
• GED or High School Diploma required
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle preferred.
• Able to pass required background checks (Act 33 and Act 34 clearances).
• A caring attitude and willingness to help others

Responsibilities

• Understands, supports, and advocates with people we support by helping them live a life of personal significance.
• Identifies, documents, and shares concerns and successes as appropriate.
• Transports and accompanies people to activities, appointments, and events.
• Helps with personal care tasks as needed, laundry, and food preparation.
• Assists with money management by promoting independence.
• Completes service documentation/notes in Therap on the same day service is provided in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $18 - $20/hour (based on experience and credentialing)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000
