Job summary

Achieva is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Greensburg, PA. You will promote health and safety for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting daily living and community participation. A driving role may be required to transport participants.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; a GED/HS diploma is required, along with a PA driver’s license and background checks. Excellent benefits and growth opportunities accompany this role.

• Able to pass required background checks (Act 33 and Act 34)
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote health, safety and well-being of individuals with disabilities.
• Support daily living activities and community engagement.
• Transport and accompany individuals to activities and appointments.
• Assist with personal care, laundry and food preparation.
• Assist with money management and promote independence.
• Complete service documentation in Therap on the same day of service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Details: Job Location: Westmoreland Office - Greensburg, PA 15601, Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time,

Pay Rate: $18 - $20/hour (based on experience and credentialing)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000

FUNCTION:

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll support daily living activities, community engagement, and personal development, while advocating for individual choice and dignity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understands, supports, and advocates with people we support by helping them live a life of personal significance.
• Identifies, documents, and shares concerns and successes as appropriate.
• Transports and accompanies people to activities, appointments, and events.
• Helps with personal care tasks as needed, laundry, and food preparation.
• Assists with money management by promoting independence.
• Completes service documentation/notes in Therap on the same day service is provided in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
