Job summary

Emmaus Homes in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help clients maximize independence and safety at home and in the community.

You will advocate for client choice, assist with appointments, and administer medications per MAR while coordinating meaningful outings with clients. The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to meet physical demands.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required or completed.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience using MS Office 365 products preferred.
• Valid and current driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Promote and respect client choice and support goals.
• Assist with scheduling and attending medical appointments.
• Administer medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Plan outings and share feedback on experiences with clients.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic and manual systems.
• Ensure activities comply with regulatory requirements.
