Job summary

Chimes is seeking an ASL-Direct Support Professional in Milford Mill, MD. This role supports individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence in a team‑oriented atmosphere.

The position offers paid training and opportunities for growth, with a starting pay of $19.75 per hour. You will follow care plans, document progress, administer medications, and assist with daily living activities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Candidate must be able to communicate with participant using American Sign Language.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license - Driving history requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including: dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
