Job summary

Toward Maximum Independence (TMI) is seeking a Direct Support Professional in the Corona area to assist individuals with IDD in community settings. You will support goals, accompany participants to parks, libraries, and events, and help them engage in real-world activities.

Role offers both part-time and full-time hours, mileage reimbursement, and benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Experience: 1 year in social services, education, or with developmentally disabled population preferred.
• Driving: 3 years driving experience; own vehicle; willing to transport up to 3 clients in personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed.

• Develop individualized adaptive support materials as needed.
• Expand clients’ participation in integrated employment activities.

Direct Support Professional in Community Integration

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 2pmCompensation: $20.50 (part-time DSP); $19.50 (full-time DSP)
Available Locations: Corona, Riverside, Moreno Valley and Perris areas

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) y our day starts by picking up the individuals you support, reviewing the day's plans, and discussing their goals, interests, and choices. Then you're off! You might visit parks, libraries, restaurants, community centers, volunteer sites, local events, and more.

Full-time? Enjoy a consistent group and schedule while building meaningful relationships and seeing progress over time.

Part-time? Enjoy variety while supporting different individuals, groups, activities, and locations.

You're there to support—not take over. They choose the direction. You help make progress happen.

You'll use your personal vehicle to transport the individuals you support. Mileage for approved work-related travel is reimbursed at the current IRS rate.

Community Integration Training Program (CITP) Program Highlights

Job Specific Essential Duties

• Train, support, and monitor clients while in the community.
• Participate in the development of a circle of support, to build relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and other community.
• Develop individualized adaptive support materials as needed.
• Develop and expand clients’ participation in integrated employment activities.
• Assist with development and implementation of clients’ annual plan, goals, and objectives
• Participate in clients’ annual Individualized Program Plan (IPP) meeting
• Provide same day shift coverage as requested by supervisor.
