Job summary

Community Services, Inc. (CSI) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to empower individuals with disabilities to live more independently and meaningfully in the Portland area.

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and help individuals pursue personal goals with dignity and respect. Training is provided; 18+ and a valid license may be required for some shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• No experience required—training provided.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred for day and swing positions.
• Acceptable background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance such as personal care, meal preparation, and household routines.
• Encourage choice, self-advocacy, and independence in activities.
• Help develop life skills and promote community involvement.
• Build respectful, person-centered relationships with individuals served.
• Document progress and services accurately in daily records.
• Communicate effectively with families, team members, and other professionals.
