Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides in the Greenville and Spartanburg, SC areas. This role focuses on person-centered care for individuals with IDD.

No experience required—paid training provided. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Shifts include 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with weekend availability every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to build supportive relationships with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to stay calm and exercise good judgment in crises.
• Background checks and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care tailored to ISP/PCP.
• Assist with daily routines: cleaning, cooking, feeding, hygiene.
• Monitor health and report concerns promptly.
• Support learning and development of independent/community skills.
• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, businesses, and families.
• Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
• Cooperate with licensee and staff during inspections or inquiries.

We are actively seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, Home Health Aides in the Greenville and Spartanburg, SC areas to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

Shifts Available:2nd Shift (4:00PM - 12:00AM)

(Candidates must have weekend availability - must be able to work every other weekend)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities tailored to their Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Person Centered Plan (PCP)


• Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene


• Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns


• Assist with the learning and development of independent and community-based skills


• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities


• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community


• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely


• Build a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families


• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned


• Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED


• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record


• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports


• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situation


• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
