Job summary

Chimes in Wallingford, PA is seeking compassionate direct-support professionals for a Residential Habilitative Program. You will provide support, personal assistance, training, and quality care to adults with intellectual disabilities in a community group home.

This full-time role offers evening and weekend shifts (Tuesday–Saturday 4 pm–12 am; Friday–Saturday 8 am–12 am) with competitive pay and benefits as part of our mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based checks required.

Responsibilities

• Assist persons served in reaching independence goals.
• Act as a positive role model for persons served.
• Provide guidance, instruction, coaching, and support per individual plans.
• Engage individuals in beneficial programs and activities.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and outings.
• Directly assist with personal care as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and routine homemaking duties.
• Ensure safety and manage medical/medication needs.
• Apply approved behavior plans when needed.
• Complete records and reports as per Agency policy.

Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Division Manager of Residential Services, with specific supervision from the House Manager, is responsible for the provision of support, personal assistance, training, and quality care to people with intellectual disabilities residing in a community group home.

Schedule Details

Full-Time Shifts

• Tuesday - Saturday 4 pm - 12 am
• Friday - Saturday 8 am - 12 am

Pay Range:

$17.50/hour

Job Duties:

• Assist persons-served in reaching their goals of becoming more independent
• Act as a positive role model for persons served

• Assume responsibility for the safety of the person served including medical/medication needs
• Apply approved behavior plans and intervention strategies as/if needed
• Complete records and reports; collect data according to Agency policy

Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
