Job summary

Unity BAY Updated is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Summerville, SC. The DSP will provide hands-on support, supervision, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Community Training Home environment.

We offer paid training, no experience required, a 36-hour work week, and an orientation before starting. Evening and weekend shifts are available with overtime posted.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Orientation: 7 days of orientation prior to starting at a residential or day program site.
• Evening and weekend shifts available (Saturday/Sunday 6p-6a, Monday 10p-10a).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living skills and health and safety routines.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, meals, grooming, and transportation.
• Document ISPs/behavior programs and communicate changes to supervisors and nursing staff.
• Administer medications per policy and complete MARs as required.
