Job summary

unity BAY Updated is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community setting. The role requires thorough documentation, safety practices, and active participation in daily living activities.

The DSP will work on-site in Moncks Corner with scheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends, and will receive paid training prior to starting, with eligibility for overtime where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum age 18.
• One year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, supervision, and training to individuals with IDD in a Community Training Home.
• Assist individuals in maintaining safe and healthy lifestyles.
• Document ISPs, behavior programs, and MARs as required.
• Transport individuals to activities and appointments using agency vehicles.
