IMPACT is seeking a Direct Support Professional for 30 hours per week in Middletown, CT. The role involves following agency policies to promote inclusion and emotional growth, supporting health and development of individuals, and collaborating with staff to provide quality care.

The DSP will participate in creating and updating Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals, and will support the IMPACT mission and guiding principles in daily work.

Qualificações

• Must have CT Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Certification preferred or obtainable.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical/non-physical interventions.
• 3–5 years of job experience preferred; training available.

Salary Range: $19.82 To $20.36 Hourly

Direct Support Professional- FT

The Direct Support Professional will follow agency policies and participate in related goals and plans, which promote inclusion as well as social and emotional growth for the individuals we support. The DSP is responsible for the health, well-being, and development of individuals we serve and works in conjunction with other staff members to provide the best possible care for all individuals. In addition, the DSP will actively be involved in the creation, implementation, and updating of Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals. The DSP also supports the IMPACT mission, vision, and guiding principles.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Must have a valid CT Driver's License and reliable vehicle with current CT registration and insurance


• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification.


• Essential physical skills to be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 50 pounds (or ¼ of own body weight), push/pull against potential resistance, and be able to implement non-physical and physical intervention and CPR with individuals supported when needed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, or related field preferred.


• At least 3-5 years of the job experience preferred but will train motivated candidates.
