Job summary

Brightway Living and Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in daily living and community involvement. You will support independent living, wellbeing, and connections across Brightway sites in New York.

Holders of a NYS driver's license with clean history are preferred; 12-hour shifts on Wednesdays and other days, plus weekend coverage, are required. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) – FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES & EXCEPTIONAL TIME OFF!

Full-Time, Hourly $19.00 – $23.10/hour ($28.50 - $34.65/hour weekends)

Average Hourly Rate for DSP Drivers (including weekend shift): $24.50 – $26.95/hour

Average Hourly Rate for DSP Non-Drivers (including weekend shift): $22.17 – $24.38/hour

Shift Availability

Applicants MUST be available to work a 12 hour shift on Wednesday, an additional weekday, and either Saturday OR Sunday. (7 am - 7 pm/8 am - 8 pm)

This position is a floater position. You must be comfortable commuting between different Brightway locations and could be requested to work at multiple sites, with Children or Adults.

Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. You will work closely with them, assisting with daily living activities, fostering their independence, promoting their well-being, and helping them connect with their communities. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships and make a tangible difference. This position requires a valid NYS Driver's License for 18+ months with a clean driving history and successful completion of Brightway Living and Learning Transportation Orientation. New Hires that do not meet these criteria will be offered a lower rate, starting at $19.00/hour.
