Job summary

All Ways Caring HomeCare in Idaho is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in-home care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hayden and nearby Coeur d'Alene. You will assist with daily living, health monitoring, and safety in a home-like setting.

You will build caring relationships, support self-help activities, document progress, and collaborate with families and clinicians.

Qualifications

Eighteen years of age or older.
Pass background check.
Driver's license with valid auto insurance.
High school diploma/GED.
DSP certification or equivalent with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Perform personal care tasks including hygiene, grooming, feeding and medical monitoring.
Foster positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
Encourage self-help activities.
Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans.
Manage individuals' behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
Keep accurate daily documentation of activities, medications and data.
Transport individuals to activities and medical appointments.
Transporting clients or running errands for clients.
Other duties as assigned.
