Easterseals PORT Health in Burgaw, NC seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist kids and teens with IDD in daily living and community activities. The DSP role includes helping with meals, personal care, housekeeping, and transportation as needed, with a focus on building social skills and independence.

Location is Burgaw, NC, with 12.5 hour shifts across three days per week. On-the-job training is provided, and benefits are available for part-time roles.

Qualifikationen

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition and safety knowledge expected.

Aufgaben

• Provide care at the facility and the nearby community.
• Assist with daily tasks: housekeeping, meals, cooking, cleaning; personal care and toileting.
• Support socialization, behavior management and community living skills.
• May transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Plan and organize the client’s schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the EHR system.
