Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Newark, NJ. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $23 to $33 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours/week. Paid onboarding & training, weekly pay, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
