Job summary

Reliance Home Health Caregivers is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bolingbrook, IL to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The role follows established care plans, documents client care, and collaborates with the team to ensure quality services.

In-person work with a competitive hourly wage of $19.00–$19.50 requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma. (Required)
• Experience: At least 1 year of related experience in a similar environment.
• Prefer one year experience as direct care working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Exhibits ability to follow care plans and documents client care per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the Consumer’s daily care: Bathing, dressing, grooming; Eating; Elimination; Transferring and ambulating; Money management; Communication; Help create a positive home environment; Help the consumer develop trust; Offer emotional support to the Patient and family; Communicate and actively listen; Follow infection control practices; Maintain a clean, safe environment and report safety problems.
• Observe and report changes in appearance, behavior, or mood to Program Coordinator; Participate in case conferences; Follow Individual Support Plan; Document findings accurately and timely; Utilize supplies cost-effectively; Maintain confidentiality.
