Job summary

INTEGRITY SUPPORT SOLUTIONS is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Gilbertsville, PA, for a part-time schedule Monday through Friday 10am–4pm. The DSP will provide compassionate, individualized care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.

The role emphasizes building trusting relationships, daily living support, and helping clients achieve independence in activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record preferred.
• Must pass PA criminal background check and drug test.
• First Aid and CPR certification required or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Improve and respect the lives of individuals with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities
• Assist in the implementation of individual plans and behavioral plan goals
• Update individual case notes daily with feedback regarding the strengths, skills, and performance needs of individuals
• Help individuals develop appropriate social, behavioral, housekeeping, and daily life skills
• Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene
• Assist individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual goals
• Provide supervision and guidance for individuals during skill-building activities
• Assist and encourage individuals in the establishment of social networks
• Develop a rapport with individuals and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
• Ensure individuals’ rights are protected
