Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across New Jersey.

Roles include assisting with daily living skills, personal care, medication reminders, transportation, and documenting services. Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available, with paid training and competitive pay. Serenity is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Able to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with I/DD preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
