Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Plainsboro, NJ.

You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently. Paid training is provided, with a focus on compassionate, reliable care and meaningful work that makes a difference.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities not required; paid training provided.
• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, household tasks).
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
