Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Williamsport and surrounding areas.

As a DSP, you will help individuals live more independently, participate in their communities, and build meaningful life skills.

Starting pay ranges from $17 to $25 per hour, with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to support personal-care needs when needed.
• No prior experience required — paid training and ongoing support provided.

Responsibilities

• Building positive, supportive relationships.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Supporting individuals in community activities, employment, and social engagement.
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals learn new skills.
• Supporting communication and use of adaptive tools.
• Promoting health, safety, and emotional well-being.
• Communicating with families, team members, and support professionals.
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Participating in ongoing training and development.
