Job summary

Serenity, LLC seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across all 21 New Jersey counties, helping them live with dignity and independence. The DSP roles are available as Full-Time, Part-Time or Per Diem with competitive pay from $21.50 to $26.50 per hour.

Flexible scheduling, paid training, and opportunities for career growth are offered; day, evening, and weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Age 18+ minimum.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks and DDD screenings.
• Experience with individuals with IDD preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
