Job summary

Abound Health in Cherokee, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living activities, community participation, and behavioral support. You will assist with ADLs, support independence, and document care in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and health registry checks.
• Paid onboarding and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
