Job summary

Abound Health in Wilkesboro, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You’ll assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay $16.00-$18.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus and paid onboarding. Flexible schedules include full-time and part-time roles with weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with current insurance.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities not required – paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
