Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Calabash, NC. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $16 to $17 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid training, and growth opportunities are offered in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background and healthcare registry checks.
• Paid training provided.
• Experience with IDD not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
