Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Morganton, NC. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid as you average 20+ hours/week. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.
• Experience with disabilities not required – paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in goals.
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, tasks).
• Support community participation, employment and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Monitor health and safety in a supportive environment.
• Communicate with team, families and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Attend ongoing training and professional development.
