Job summary

Job Path is seeking energetic DSPs to provide one-on-one support across Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx. You will help participants connect with their communities, support daily activities, and promote independence.

Shifts vary; typical times 9am–3pm or 10am–4pm, with weekend or overnight options also considered. Basic computer skills required; high school diploma or GED and English proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, written and spoken English.
• Prior experience a plus, but not essential.
• We are seeking candidates who enjoy active, "people-oriented" work and are sensitive to the needs and preferences of people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to connect participants to their communities and help them become contributing community members.
• Develop connections to community organizations with family and community members.
• Assist participants at volunteer jobs, classes, social events and other activities.
• Support participants in meeting personal and professional goals and learn to make decisions.
