Job summary

Job Path is seeking energetic Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx. Shifts typically run weekdays from 9am–3pm or 10am–4pm, with three+ days per week.

You will provide one-on-one support, help people engage in community activities, and work within a supportive team to foster independence and meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with English proficiency.
• Candidates should be people-oriented and able to work in a team.
• Prior experience in human services is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized supports to connect people to their communities.
• Develop connections with family and community organizations.
• Assist at volunteer events, classes, social activities and more.
• Help individuals meet personal and professional goals.
• Build self-esteem through collaborative activities.
• Encourage choices and support learning in daily life.
• Support social interactions and build positive relationships.
• Document activities and follow supervisor directions.
