Job summary

3M’s Services LLC is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. PRN staff offer coverage on an as-needed basis to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with IDD or behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and crisis prevention preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and active insurance required.
• Ability to assist with lifting, transfers and other physically demanding tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Compassionate, patient and dependable caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Care: assist individuals with daily living activities including meals, hygiene, mobility, and medication administration where permitted.
• Behavioral support & de-escalation: implement positive strategies and follow approved plans.
• Promote community engagement: help individuals participate in social, recreational and community activities.
• Follow individualized service plans: work with QPs, supervisors, and clinical staff to implement plans and achieve outcomes.
• Documentation & reporting: accurately document services, progress and incidents.
• Communication & team collaboration: maintain open communication with families and care team about changes in behavior or needs.
• Health, safety & compliance: ensure safety and well-being per policies and HIPAA/state regulations.
