Gateways to Change, Inc. in Rhode Island seeks dedicated Direct Support Workers to help adults with developmental and physical disabilities live independently at home and in the community.

You will assist with daily living, transportation to appointments, and community activities, while promoting safety, dignity, and skill-building. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check are required; strong communication and organization are essential.

Formación

• Must have a valid driver's license and pass a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience in direct support or caregiving is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals.
• Assist individuals with achieving goals in home and local community.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities.
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
• Administration of medication.

We are looking for a dedicated and committed Direct Support Workers who are striving to make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Help individuals acquire and maintain skills to improve their daily-living, and socialization skills.

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
• Administration of medication
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
• Be creative, organized, and efficient
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bring fun to the job
• Working independently and with staff

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid driver's license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
