Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. seeks dedicated Direct Support Workers to assist adults with developmental and physical disabilities in home and community settings.

You will help individuals acquire daily living and social skills, transport to appointments, and assist with personal care while promoting independence and safety. This role requires reliability and strong communication in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and current insurance/registrations/inspection.
• Criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals.
• Assist individuals with achieving goals in home and local community.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities.
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
• Administration of medication.
• Cultivate safe and supportive relationships.
• Be creative, organized, and efficient.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bring fun to the job.
